In 2011, the former Tongzhou TCM Hospitalwas amalgamated with our hospital and was officially named the eastern area ofDongzhimen Hospital of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine.

In 2011, seven supervisors and eightstudents from our hospital participated the project of inheriting veteran TCMdoctors' experience. Our hospital was trying to establish a team of teachersbackboned by young and middle-aged academic leaders and famous experts. Theteam was believed to be politically qualified, technically impressive and wellcapable of innovation.

In 2010, our hospital is set as the signedplace with ‘the experiment of Chinese medical development reform" in order to build demonstration base.

In 2010, Pediatrics ofChinese Medicine was awarded as one of Beijing Excellent Courses.

In 2009, the hospital was designated as a national demonstration unit ofexperimental teaching in Chinese medicine.

In 2011,seven supervisors and eight students from our hospital participated the projectof inheriting veteran TCM doctors' experience.

In 2008, we won an award for successfuleducational achievement in Beijing.

In 2007, the teaching team for Internal Medicine of TCMwas honored as a Beijing excellent teaching team and as a national outstandingteam in 2008. Our hospital was one of the institutes that changed thecontinuing education programs at national and municipal levels as well as oneof the organizers of TCM experts tutorship education.

In 2005, Internal Medicine of TCM was honored as a cityand national Top-Quality Course in 2005 and 2009 separately.

In 2000, our Hospital was rated as a “Grade III comprehensive” hospital by the Hospital Evaluation Committee, Ministry of Public Health.
In 1977, Dongzhimen Hospital became the “No. 1 clinical medical college” of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine.
In 1991, our Hospital established TCM Klinik Kotzting in Germany, the first hospital built by China in Europe. As an important event of international medical communication, it will be remembered for long in China-Germany diplomatic history.
In 1991, our hospital was rated as a "Grade III-A hospital"by the Hospital Evaluation Committee, Ministry of Public Health.

In 1989, Internal Medicine of TCM of our hospital wasapproved as a national-level key discipline and it was a director-level unit ofthe National Association of National Medicine, TCM.

In 1989, the construction of our North Ward Building wascompleted and the leaders from the central area attended the inaugurationceremony.

In 1979, our Hospital began to undertakethe teaching tasks of Beijing College of Medicine (the predecessor of PekingUniversity Health Science Center).

In 1958, Dongzhimen Hospital of BeijingUniversity of Chinese Medicine was established in Dongcheng District, Beijing.
